Phase Interference
Reflections cause sound waves to interact with each other. When this happens, their phases combine or cancel out, creating what's called "interference". Constructive interference occurs when the phases align, leading to an increase in wave amplitude. Destructive interference occurs when the phases are out of alignment or opposite to each other, leading to a decrease or cancellation of the wave amplitude.
